The short version: don't be awful.

conw.ai (“Conw”, “we”, “us”) is operated by a sole trader based in England. By signing up or otherwise using the service, you accept these terms.

If you don't agree with something, please email [email protected] so we can talk before you do something you can't undo.

Conw is a chat interface to Conway-Omega. We currently serve our own configured model checkpoint and may replace it as the system improves, including with models we train from scratch. It's designed to get sharper over time as it sees more conversations.

We may change, pause, or retire features at any time, especially while the product is young. If something you rely on goes away, we'll try to give reasonable notice.

You'll need an email and a password (handled by our auth provider, Clerk). Be honest with your details — we use them to contact you about your account and nothing else.

Keep your password safe. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can close your account at any time from Settings or by emailing us.

We use PostHog US Cloud to understand how Conw is used and where Conway-Omega succeeds or fails. Analytics may include page and feature use, model performance, and the complete prompt and reply for a chat. Signed-in analytics is linked using your account ID, and the PostHog user profile includes your account name, email address, and profile picture.

We record session replays for people with and without accounts. Replay shows page layout, visible text, navigation, clicks, scrolling, and timing. This can include chat messages after they are sent. Values typed into inputs are masked in the browser, and network bodies and headers are not recorded. A signed-out replay uses only a temporary, memory-only identity.

We do not currently offer an in-app analytics opt-out because the service is self-learning and needs this information to improve. For more information or a privacy-rights request, email [email protected]. Our Privacy Policy explains what is collected in more detail.

Conw remembers things you teach it — words, corrections, preferences, facts — and uses them in your later chats. That memory is private to your account. You can review, mute, or forget any single memory at any time from Settings or directly in chat; forgetting one takes effect immediately.

Shared knowledge.A small subset of taught word meanings — never personal facts, preferences, or corrections — can be promoted into knowledge every user's assistant can draw on, but only once at least three independent accounts have separately taught materially the same thing, it passes automated safety review, and it is reworded so no promoted entry is reproduced from any one person's exact words. By teaching the assistant a word, you agree that, once corroborated this way, an abstracted version of that meaning may be used in other users' conversations. If your memory is later withdrawn, we'll treat that as removing your corroboration, which can cause the shared entry to be withdrawn too if it no longer has enough independent support.

The public leaderboard. At conw.ai/learning, anyone can see a public ranking of who has taught the assistant the most, shown next to your Clerk username and profile picture, along with a public log of what got promoted to shared knowledge and what was rejected and why. By teaching the assistant, you agree your teaching activity — counts and rough token totals, never the content of what you taught — may appear there. You can ask to be excluded at any time; see the Privacy Policy.

Reserving a username. Claiming a handle at conw.ai/reserve holds that name for you ahead of launch; it isn't a purchase, doesn't require an account, and creates no payment obligation. We can decline or reclaim a reservation that breaches Acceptable use below (impersonation, slurs, and the like) before it's linked to an account.

The short list of things you cannot use Conw for:

• Anything illegal where you live, or that helps someone else do something illegal.
• Harassment, threats, or doxxing of real people.
• Generating sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content involving real, identifiable people without their consent.
• Spam, scam, or fraud at scale — bulk phishing, fake reviews, romance scams, that kind of thing.
• Building autonomous systems where the model is making decisions that affect someone's liberty, safety, finances, or healthcare without a human in the loop.
• Trying to extract the model weights, the training data, or other users' conversations. (We'd tell you to email us if you wanted to do this anyway, but that's not how it works.)

We use both automated filters and a (very) small human review team. We may warn, throttle, or close accounts that break these rules. We'll tell you when we do.

Three plans. Every plan gets the same model and answers; paid plans buy a larger weekly conversation allowance.

• Free — a casual-use weekly cap. No card required.
• Pro · £15/month — a higher cap, billed monthly via Stripe.
• Max · £30/month — the highest cap we offer today.

Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and we don't bill you again.

Refunds.Because usage on the Free plan costs you nothing, and because Pro/Max spend on the server you've already used, we don't offer routine refunds. If something went genuinely wrong on our side — extended outage, billing error, accidental double charge — email us and we'll make it right. We're small, we'd rather fix it than argue.

Prices may change for new subscribers. For existing subscribers we'll give at least 30 days' notice before any price change kicks in.

Ours.The model, the weights, the tokenizer, the training pipeline, the website, the brand, the name “Conw” — all ours (or licensed to us). Don't resell, redistribute, or use the service to build a competing model without permission.

Yours.Your prompts. Your account. Any creative work you do with Conw as a tool is yours — same as if you'd written it in a text editor with a friend's suggestions. We don't claim ownership of your output.

The training licence. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to use eligible parts of your conversations to improve and train future versions of Conway-Omega, and to use corroborated taught word meanings as shared knowledge, subject to the safeguards described in Memory, shared knowledge & the leaderboard above and our Privacy Policy.

Conway-Omega is small, opinionated, and very much in school. It will be wrong, sometimes confidently and sometimes beautifully. Don't rely on it for:

• Medical, legal, or financial decisions without a qualified human review.
• Emergency or safety-critical situations — call the right people, not the robot.
• Anything where you can't afford a hallucination. Hallucinations are part of how small models work today; we're working on it.

Replies may feel personal, but they're generated by software. Don't treat them as advice from a friend.

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Conw is capped at the amount you've actually paid us in the previous 12 months (or £100, if you haven't paid anything).

We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profit, lost data, emotional distress at the model's third-best take. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't be excluded under English law.

You can close your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing us. We'll delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, that haven't been used in over a year and don't have an active subscription, or that have been compromised. We'll always try to warn you first.

We'll update these terms when something material changes and bump the date at the top. For substantive changes we'll email signed-in users at least 14 days in advance, and continued use after that counts as acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless your local law gives you a better right.
